IVotedForYouBecause.com is a place where you can tell the world why you voted the way you did.
Elections measure the votes cast, but not why they were cast. The 2005 General Election is the beginning of a democratic process by which your MP represents you in Parliament.
This website lets you tell them which policies from their manifestos you voted for (and which ones you didn't). In short, what your priorities are for them in Parliament.
Who are we?
A bunch of volunteers who are interested in politics and using technology. Some of us were involved in the creation of NotApathetic and some of us do "internet stuff" by day, but we are: Adam McGreggor, Richard Pope, Mark Simpkins, Sam Smith and Tom Steinberg.
We're working under the mySociety banner on this project, who have supported us in our endeavours.
Privacy Policy
We want your MP to know why he/she was elected, and why you felt you could entrust them with your votes. In the spirit of accountability, and participation in democracy, we feel it's only right that your name and reason(s) will be passed on to your MP.
We need your email address to validate your post - but that will not be made public.
